There were some fruits in a crate. 4/9 of them were strawberries and 2/3 of the remainder were mangoes. The rest of them were pineapples. There were 105 more strawberries than pineapples. How many fruits were there in the crate? (1 mark)

pineapple → 1/3 x 5/9 = 5/27

difference (strawberries and pineapple) → 105

difference fraction (strawberries and pineapple) → 4/9 - 5/27 = 12/27 - 5/27 = 7/27

difference (units) → 7u total units → 27u

7u → 105 1u → 105 ÷ 7 = 15 27u → 27 x 15 = 405
