total volume of tank → 32 x 12 x 20 = 7680 cm³ = 7.68 litres

"In the end, the tank was 1/5 filled with water."

1/5 filled → 1/5 x 7.68 litres = 1.536 litres

water to fill to the brim → 7.68 - 1.536 = 6.144 litres = 6144 cm³
